So maybe you love selfie a lot or the type that do take lots of pictures and post it on your social media profile, this post is definitely for you.
Let me not waste your time and head over to the number 10 phones with the best camera in Nigeria.
Phones with Best Camera In Nigeria
Please note that this post is made based on the number of smartphones that i have tested this year(2018).
10. Xiaomi Note 5 Pro
The very first time i layed my on the xiaomi note 5 pro, i immediately fall in love with the phone. Due to the economy situation in this country, many will call it a high end smartphone whilst it is a budget phone.
We don’t need to argue on the camera quality of the xiaomi note 5 pro, as they introduces an 18:9 display, a dual camera at the back and a 20MP front camera with LED flash, a Snapdragon 636 chipset, and up to 6GB of RAM.
The Redmi Note 5 Pro sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ IPS display – the 2160 x 1080 resolution translating to a pixel density of 403ppi. The display is bright, and the colors are quite vivid with deep contrasts. The text and images are sharp and the color accuracy is first-rate. The display is a tad reflective, although sunlight legibility is still pretty good.
Redmi note 5 pro is the first xiaomi phone to feature a dual camera. The rear camera on the Redmi Note 5 Pro is pretty good, especially in good lighting conditions. The color reproduction is quite good at most times and there’s a good level of detail.

9. Huawei Honor 6X
Another budget smartphone with great camera quality especially for its price. Please you may not see this phone in many retail shops in Nigeria but thanks to jumia global, you can get the phone from China to Nigeria and your door step.
The Honor 6X phone spots a dual-lens camera, combines a 12MP lens with a 2MP to make a wide-aperture mode. There’s a 12MP camera on the back of the phone that’s paired with a 2MP wide-aperture lens. It allows you to blur the background of images for an interesting effect.
According to Honor, this dual-lens setup will also improve the pixel resolution of an image even in low light. There’s a 12MP camera on the back of the phone that’s paired with a 2MP wide-aperture lens. It allows you to blur the background of images for an interesting effect. I’ve tested the quality of the honor 6x camera and i must tell you that is of quality especially being a mid range phone.

8. Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom
The Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom is the company’s latest attempt at bringing “forget about your DSLR” camera optics to the mid-range smartphone market.
There are two cameras on the back of the ZenFone 3 Zoom, neither of which physically zooms. Both sensors are 12MP with an f/1.7 aperture, but one has a “regular” lens and the other has a built-in optical zoom of 2.3x. The ZenFone 3 Zoom cameras use both optical and electronic stabilization, which I’ve found to be very reliable but a bit aggressive. Even small movements cause the frame to “float” around in response.
Performance – Octa core
Display – 5.5″ (13.97 cm)
Storage – 128 GB
Camera – 12 MP
Battery – 5000 mAh
RAM – 4GB

7. Moto G5 Plus
I can’t just write on the phones with best camera in Nigeria without mentioning the moto G5 plus smart phone. The G5 plus captures bigger pixels pictures and a 4K video looks good on paper, but 1080p at 60FPS is the best feature here.
The rear sensor in the G5 Plus is now 12MP, moved down from 16MP. But in its stead are some worthwhile improvements that are worth the exchange.
The main camera is now capable of better low light shooting thanks to the aperture boost from f/2.2 to f/1.7. The sensor now captures larger 1.4-micron pixels in each photograph, which in theory boasts accurate lighting and cuts back on the amount of noise present.
5.2-inch IPS Display, 1080 x 1920 pixels (424ppi)
2.0GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 CPU with 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM

12MP Rear Camera and 5MP Front Camera

Fingerprint Sensor (Front)

6. Huawei Honor 7X
The very first time i saw the Huawei honor 7x was in March this year, i was really surprised with the phone built and also the camera quality. I never really fancy Chinese smartphones until i layed my hands on the huawei honor 7X. As it is right now, Huawei is the best Chinese smartphone manufacturer. Right now i can recommend the likes of Huawei and xiaomi smartphone to the likes of infinix or Lenovo phones.
the Honor 7X does with a dual camera setup with a 16 MP + 2 MP unit on the rear and a single 8 MP camera on the front.
In daylight scenarios, the rear camera was quick to focus and shoot both standard and portrait images with an enhanced depth of field. The photographs looked vibrant and showcased plenty of sharpness as well. The images overall look a lot brighter i must say and Honor does let you tweak the sharpness levels in the camera app, which also happens to come with a user-friendly UI.
5.93-inch IPS Display, 1080 x 2160 pixels (407 ppi)
Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 CPU with 4GB RAM
Android 7.0 (Nougat), EMUI 5.1

5. Samsung Galaxy S8
My current smartphone at the moment and no matter how you try to compare Samsung smartphones to other Android phones, it definitely won’t work out especially with the picture quality.
The Galaxy S8 and S8+ feature a 12-megapixel “Dual Pixel” rear-facing camera with a f/1.7 lens, which is similar to the Galaxy S7, though it’s not the same image sensor. It’s equipped with OIS (optical image stabilization) and PDAF (phase-detect auto focus), as well as auto HDR and a manual mode that enables you to shoot in RAW.
The Galaxy S8 and S8+’s front-facing camera is a complete revamp: 8 megapixels with auto focus and an f/1.7 lens. You’ll get decent low light photos just as you would with the rear-facing camera, and the Galaxy S8 will have a simpler time attempting to keep your face in focus — most phones today, even in the high end, still don’t have auto focus on the front-facer. You can use the silly Snapchat-like features here, too, and there is a beauty mode that buffs out your imperfections and makes you look like the freshly airbrushed model you wish you could be. The filter also works on your friends in group selfies.
5.8-inch Super AMOLED Display, 1440 x 2960 pixels (570ppi)
Octa-core 10nm-class chipset (Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or Samsung Exynos 8895 Octa)
Bixby Intelligent Digital Assistant with dedicated launch button
Android 7.0 (Nougat) with 4GB RAM
64GB Storage with support for memory card up to 256GB
12MP Rear Camera and 8MP Front Camera
Fingerprint Sensor (Rear), Iris Scan, Face Unlock
Gigabit LTE (up to 1024 Mbps download)
3000 mAh Battery with Fast Charging

4. LG G7 ThinQ
Please i’ve not seen nor touched the new LG G7 thinQ but some one i contacted in oversea(US) gave me a detailed review of the new LG smartphone. He talked about the camera, picture and video quality and i was really impressed even with some pics he send to me.
LG has finally upgraded its front-facing camera. The LG G7 ThinQ now has an 8MP front-facing camera, which is great news for selfie lovers. The extra resolution makes a huge difference in detail, sharpness, and provides more room to crop your images. Selfies from the G7 ThinQ look great, with good color reproduction and natural skin tones.
On the rear, the LG G7 ThinQ utilizes LG’s signature standard and wide angle lens combo. Both sensors are 16 megapixels, meaning there’s no longer a loss in resolution when switching sensors. The main sensor is still the superior lens when it comes to quality. It has a brighter f/1.6 aperture compared to the f/1.9 of the wide angle and also has OIS. The main benefit to the wide angle is, of course, fitting more into the frame
Dimensions: 153.2 x 71.9. x 7.9mm
Processor: Snapdragon 845
Rear camera: Dual 16MP f/1.6 + f/1.9 107-degree wide-angle
Front Camera: 8MP
3. IPhone X
The iPhone X has dual 12-megapixel cameras on the rear, as there are in the iPhone 8 Plus, and that makes it the smallest iPhone yet to benefit from two sensors.
The iPhone X camera featured;
Dual 12MP sensors
28/56mm equivalent focal lengths
On-sensor phase detection
DNG Raw capture and manual control with 3rd party apps
4K video at 60 fps
1080p 120/240fps slow-motion video
7MP front-facing ‘TrueDepth’ camera with F2.2 aperture
5.8-inch Super AMOLED Display, 1125 x 2436 pixels (458 ppi)
Apple A11 Bionic Chipset with 2GB RAM
Water Resistant & Dustproof
64GB, or 256GB Built-in Storage
Dual 12MP Rear Camera and 7MP Front Camera
4G LTE (up to 1024 Mbps download)
Face Scanner (Face ID)
Fast Charging and Wireless Charging support

2. Samsung Galaxy S9
After Samsung really flopped on the production of the galaxy S7, there was a better upgrade on the galaxy S8 and right now the galaxy S9 is simply outstanding and stunning.
The galaxy S9 is the second on my list of phones with best camera in Nigeria because of its fantastic display and the powerful camera it has. The Samsung Galaxy S9 gets a 12-megapixel rear camera with an aperture of f/1.5 – the brightest ever on a smartphone – which is a huge 28% brighter than the primary camera on last year’s S8. Galaxy S9 can switch between f/2.4 and f/1.5, and you can even watch it happen on the lens. On such a small sensor, the difference in aperture doesn’t make as big of a difference as you might expect, but it still helps the S9 take on different lighting situations a little more effectively.
Primary – 12 MP (f/1.5-2.4, 26mm, 1/2.5″, 1.4µm, Dual Pixel PDAF), phase detection autofocus, OIS, LED flash, check quality
Features Geo-tagging, simultaneous 4K video and 9MP image recording, touch focus, face/smile detection, Auto HDR, panorama
Video 2160p@60fps, 1080p@240fps, 720p@960fps, HDR, dual-video rec., check quality
Secondary 8 MP (f/1.7, 25mm, 1/3.6″, 1.22µm), autofocus, 1440p@30fps, dual video call, Auto HDR
6.2-inch, Super-AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 1440 X 2960 pixels (529 ppi)
Anddroid 8.0 (Oreo) with 6GB RAM
Octa-core Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 845 (USA & China), Octa-core Exynos 9810 (EMEA)
64GB/128GB/256GB built-in storage and support memory card up to 200GB
Dual 12MP + 12MP rear camera and 8MP front camera
Fingerprint sensor (rear)
Water and Dust Proof (IP68 certification)
3, 500 mAh non removable Li-ion battery

1. Huawei P20 Pro
Huawei this year really turned things around with their new flagship phone(huawei p20 pro). The p20 pro is my number one phones with best camera in Nigeria cause the smartphone not only have a good camera but the quality of the phone is really great
The truth here is that when it comes to camera or display, huawei p20 pro is really beats the likes of Apple iPhone X, Galaxy S9 or even the new Google pixel 2. There are three cameras on the back, one 40MP main sensor, a 20MP black and white one and a 3x zoom 8MP camera.
You can shoot at 3x without digital zoom, and even get good results at 5x. The real star here is low light performance, though. Standard night shooting just about matches the best, but a dedicated night mode lets you take low light shots with dynamic range to rival an APS-C DSLR.
6.1-inch, AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 1080 X 2244 pixels (408 ppi)
EMUI 8.1 (Android 8.1 Oreo)
Octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 970 CPU with 6GB RAM
Triple 40MP + 20MP + 8MP rear camera and a 24MP front camera
128GB built-in storage, with no support for memory card
Fingerprint sensor (front)
4, 000mAh non removable Li-Po battery
So you have seen the reason that the huawei p20 pro is rated as the number, it has three camera with the back camera being 40 mega pixel plus another 20mp and the front camera is 24mp which is fantastic for selfie lovers.
There’s other smartphones out there with a great camera like the Google pixel though it is rare in Nigeria and also the LG v30. Yes the LG v30 is really great especially if you want to video an event or whatsoever.
Maybe right there you may be saying hey Bro these phones are costly especially from the number 5 downward, so below are the list of affordable or cheap phones with best camera in Nigeria.
1. The new tecno Pouvoir 2 Pro
2. Samsung J7 Neo
3. Tecno sparks 2
4. Infinix hot 6
5. Moto e4 plus
6. Tecno Camon CX
7. Gionee A1 lite.
This is where you i’m rounding up on today’s post which is phones with best camera in Nigeria. If you have yours which you think should be added here, you can help us with that through the comment box thanks.
