Tecno Phantom 8 Review
The device is housed in a big black box that has a gold inscription of tecno Phantom 8 at both sides. And there is a moisture resistant nylon wrapped around the box to protect it from moisture.
Like most premium devices we have unboxed in the past, there is a quality assurance seal on the box which I think is worth paying attention to when making a buying decision.
Upon removing the box you are greeted with the phone which is flanked on both sides by 2 well-packed boxes inside. Inside the first box you will find, the user manual, transparent back cover, SIM ejector tool and some other document while the second box at the right-hand side contains a stylish pair of headphones, Adapter charger and a Type C USB cable.
20MP front camera, 6GB of RAM, Global 4G LTE connectivity, Dual back camera with 10x Digital Zoom. These are top-of-the-line Specs and the tecno Phantom 8 will be TECNO’s first device with global 4G LTE. This is quite commendable
The device is quite stylish and well-crafted. It has a glossy feel design with a 3D diamond lightning insulation at the back. The device is metallic but it is a fingerprint magnet, so you have to wear the transparent back case to prevent frequent stains on the back.
At the bottom of the phone is the USB type C which is flanked on both sides by the Speaker and the noise cancellation.
At the top, you will find the 3.5mm Audio jack where you will insert headphone.
Here, you will find the SLOT for a Micro SIM and an SDcard. This means that you can either you a dual SIM with no sdcard or one Micro SIM and a Memory card, but a 64GB of internal storage, this may not be a problem.
There are two physical buttons on the right side of the Phantom 8, the volume controller and the power buttons.
Positioned stylishly at the top of the back of the device are the dual cameras which consist of 12MP + 13MP lenses. The 12MP is the main camera while the 13MP is the telephoto one. The telephoto adds a blurry effect to your photos giving it a professional touch. This is also known as depth of field or bokeh effect.
The fingerprint scanner sits majestically below the camera and at the middle, there is TECNO branding while down below the inscription of tecno Phantom 8 is noticeably visible.
The front of the Phantom is occupied largely by the 5.7-inch screen, however, there is a 20MP front-facing selfie snapper followed by a dual LED flash system. At the bottom of the screen, you will find the multitasking button followed by the home button and the exit button.
The Tecno Phantom 8 is a gorgeous device and it sports a 5.7-inch LCD display with full HD resolution. The major highlights of the phone are the 12MP + 13MP dual cameras and the 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
I am quite impressed with how snappy it responds to commands, this, of course, is due to the huge 6GB of RAM. Holding the device is a pleasure but you might have to use the transparent case as the back of the phone can easily be stained with your fingerprint.
That’s it on tecno phantom 8 features, review, Specs and price.
